Influence of cusp external magnetic field on deposition rate of two-electrode TIG welding

Experiments have been conducted to investigate the influence of cusp external magnetic field (EMF) on deposition rate two-electrode tungsten insert gas (T-TIG) welding. T-TIG arc parameters such as shape, voltage, pressure, and plasma information were acquired respectively. Results showed that compared TIG a higher welding current could be allowed for due its low pressure characteristic. Under effect EMF, shape was compressed along x-axis T-TIG, while elongated y-axis T-TIG. Besides, peak not significantly increased by EMF. Moreover, with action maximum values electron temperature (Te) density (Ne) increased, but y-axis, increments two gradually their distributions widened.
